Question: Does this stool lock when open?

Answer: It hinges at each corner sides and top. It stays open when standing on it. Handle is up to carry it when not in use, and when open, handle goes flat to lock it, fitting in a groove. Very sturdy and the white dots on top keep a person from slipping off the top when stepping up. I like mine!!!

Question: How slip-resistant are the feet? I need something to use in a dry bathtub for cleaning.
Answer: There are very thin strips of rubber on the feet and it's fairly firm on my kitchen floor, but I don't know about trusting it in a tub. Maybe if you are very careful.

Question: what is the height of the step?

Answer: 9.45 inches tall.

Question: What are the dimensions of the flat standing area?

Answer: Just measured it: 13 1/3 by 11 1/3 inches. And I love mine! Use it all the time, it takes up no space at all.
